The first of the Lawndale Restoration developments using the HUD Upfront Grant has received its first draw reimbursement. Safeway Construction has started contruction on its 54-unit development, and successfully navigated the Upfront Grant reimbursement process.

Lighten-Gale Group adminsters the draw requests to HUD on behalf of the city. This is the first time that HUD has issued a single upfront grant to be used by multiple developers. Lighten-Gale Group designed a database to automate the calculations required for each month's draw request.
