The Keeler Roosevelt Road Apartments project, which consists of the rehab of 26 units of family housing on Roosevelt Road in Chicago's North Lawndale community, closed on its financing on August 29, 2008. Lighten-Gale Group helped Safeway Construction, the developer and general contractor, structure and coordinate the financing, which is a combination of sources including a Trust Fund loan from the Illinois Housing Development Authority, a construction and permanent loan from the Chicago Community Loan Fund, and 9% LIHTCs allocated by the City of Chicago and syndicated by National Equity Fund.
