Five Lighten-Gale Group clients received tax credit allocations from the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) for their 2008 A tax credit round. Lighten-Gale Group assisted with the underwriting and submission of all five applications. The successful applicants are:

A joint venture of Lawndale Christian Development Corporation, Safeway Construction, and Westside Federation of Chicago received an allocation for the Dr. Martin Luther and Coretta Scott King Jr. Apartments. This will be a 45-unit new construction project serving families in Chicago's North Lawndale neighborhood. Construction is slated to begin in May of 2010. |

A joint venture of Source Works Development and a non-profit affiliate of the Apostolic Church received an IHDA tax credit allocation for its 89-unit Hancock House project. This new construction project will serve independent seniors in the 34th Ward, and is anticipated to begin construction in Winter 2008/ Spring 2009. |

A joint venture of MTS Consulting and NHS Redevelopment Corporation received an IHDA tax credit allocation for its 85-unit mixed-income senior development. Wrightwood Senior Apartments will be located at 79th and California in the City's 18th Ward with construction beginning in Spring 2009. |

Christian County Integrated Community Services and Siegrist Builders received both a tax credit allocation and a loan commitment for the Berkshires, a 24-unit family townhome development in Taylorville, Illinois. This 2- and 3-bedroom project will serve low-income families in Christian County. |

The Resurrection Project received an IHDA Trust Fund award and IHDA tax credit allocation for its 72-unit senior development, Casa Maravilla. Casa Maravilla will be built adjacent to its family development Casa Morelos, currently under construction. |
